About Megan Hayes
Megan Hayes is an oil painter based in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she has spent most of her life. She is married, the mother of five, and the proud grandmother of thirteen—roles that continually enrich her sense of beauty, gratitude, and connection to the world around her.
Megan grew up in a home where the arts were highly valued. From an early age she was surrounded by music and creativity, developing a deep respect for artistic expression that has stayed with her throughout her life. Although she has collected art for many years, it was later in life that she discovered her own passion for painting and began developing her skills as an oil artist.
Her formal training includes studies at the University of Utah, Utah State University, and several months at the Art Students League of New York. These experiences helped shape her style and strengthened her technical foundation, while still allowing room for the emotional warmth and sincerity that characterize her work.
Megan has participated in dozens of art shows throughout the Salt Lake area, where her landscapes, still lifes, and atmospheric pieces have been admired for their calm presence, natural light, and sense of place. She continues to paint from her home studio, inspired by the beauty of the Wasatch Mountains, changing seasons, and the quiet moments found in everyday life.
